Answer the four questions you find most compelling.

3. How do the songs change from chapter 5?
4. How has the appearance of the pearl (at least in Kino's mind) changed in the book?
5. Are Kino and Juana victorious or defeated at the end?
6. Do you think this is a racist novel? Why or why not?
7. Do you think this is a sexist novel? Why or why not?

Welcome to American Lit!

We will be using blogs extensively for our commonplace books assignment, so I suggest you spend some time getting used to the technology. Good luck!
